I operate a lot of online ventures and therefore find myself spending a majority of each day sitting in front of my computer. In fact, I'm so busy most of the time that I often can't even break away for lunch or dinner. Consequently, I end up eating right there at my desk, which would certainly have the potential for disaster if not for my protective keyboard cover.
I first tried using a keyboard cover many years ago. At that time, I basically wanted to prevent dust, dirt, and lint from getting in between the keys and potentially affecting performance. But I never could get used to typing with a keyboard cover on because it didn't feel right. So I finally just took it off and decided to let nature take its course.

I started reading and was very surprised to see how much different -- and better -- these products had become in such a short time. One style of keyboard cover that I saw basically looked like a wrap that fit over the keys. This snug fit would allow users to retain an excellent sense of touch while typing, which was exactly what I was looking for. I read another review highlighting a company that made custom keyboard covers for its customers. Although I personally wouldn't go so far as to order a custom keyboard cover, I have to admit that the ones they showed in the article looked very cool.
When I decided to buy a keyboard cover, my first instinct was to head out to the nearest computer supply store. But on a whim, I thought I'd try checking out some online stores instead. Let's just say that I wasn't disappointed in the results! There are hundreds of online retailers out there offering just about every kind of keyboard cover you can imagine. I was able to shop around for the exact style I wanted and compare prices instantly. In a matter of minutes, I had located a great keyboard cover and placed my order. If I had gone out to the store as originally planned, I'd probably still be sitting in traffic.
Using a keyboard cover not only protects my keys from spills and dirt, but also gives me incredible peace of mind. I know that nothing's going to slip through and mess up my equipment, and I'm able to be a lot more productive as a result.
